This scholarship was established by Dr. Ronald A. Mitsch '56, retired vice chair of 3M and former chair of the Hamline University Board of Trustees. The scholarship is part of a comprehensive endowment funded by Dr. Mitsch and the 3M Foundation to support the chemistry department through an annual lecture, student-faculty research and equipment purchases, as well as scholarships for chemistry majors with financial need.
