Inducted 1998. Todd Wallert earned eight letters at Hamline, four each in football and track & field. In football, Todd was a tailback and set two Hamline records-one for the most yards rushing in one season (1,044 yards), and one for the most yards rushing in one game (195). He was chosen the outstanding offensive player his junior year, and was named All-Conference his senior year.

In track and field, Todd was the National Champion in the long jump in 1981, and a three-time All-American. He was also the Conference Champion in 1981, 1982 and 1983, and still holds Hamline's long-jump record. Todd was a team captain for both football and track & field his senior year and won the Steve Lindgren Award for Hamline's male athlete-of-the-year in 1984. He was also part of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.Since his Hamline days, Todd has remained active in athletics as both a coach and competitor. He completed the four-day Minnesota Border-to-Border Triathlon in 1992, a race which includes 410 miles of biking, 50 miles of running and 50 miles of canoeing. Todd, a physical education teacher, is the head boys' track coach at North High School, as well as the defensive coordinator for the varsity football team.

Todd's nomination by Dick Tressel contained high praise. "Todd Wallert was a great Hamline University athlete who has continued his life with quality," Dick wrote. "He attracts athletes to his sport and is a fine teacher."
