President Linda Hanson, Provost Eric Jensen, and the Law Alumni Board invite all law alumni to campus on Thursday, December 5, at 5:30 p.m. to wish a fond farewell to Dean Don Lewis, who, after five very productive and successful years as Hamline’s Law Dean, will resume full-time practice at his firm, Nilan Johnson Lewis PLLP in January.
A reception will be held in the Kay Fredericks Room of Klas Center, with a brief program at 6 p.m., featuring Hamline University President Linda Hanson.
In his [recent letter] to the community, Dean Lewis expressed his pride in Hamline Law’s progress over the past five years. Beyond the jump in the U.S. News rankings, Dean Lewis noted that Hamline Law led the Twin Cities law schools in employment of law graduates in jobs that required or preferred JDs. “We also maintained national rankings for the law school’s institutes in dispute resolution and health law, and launched a third institute in business law. We enhanced our programs in experiential education led by a new associate dean…we won recognition by the National Jurist magazine among the top ‘best value’ and top 20 ‘most innovative’ law schools in the U.S.”
Please RSVP to join your fellow law alumni for this opportunity to thank Dean Lewis for his leadership and accomplishments.
