Hamline School of Law

As you may know, the legal profession is changing. Evolving technologies, the lagging economy, and the reach of globalism are altering fundamental aspects of our practice.

At Hamline Law, we must embrace this transformation while holding fast to our mission to educate and empower students to solve problems and improve lives. As the profession discovers new ways to deliver legal services, Hamline Law will be on the leading edge of innovation in preparing lawyers to thrive in this new environment.

With your financial support, we will continue to reinvent Hamline Law, enhance the value of the Hamline JD, and produce outstanding graduates.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Funding Priorities

Alumni Annual Fund (unrestricted):
Alumni Annual Fund gifts—contributions made without limitation as to their use—help support the School of Law’s most pressing needs, including research and development, student organizations, student research, and financial aid.

Opportunity Scholarship Fund: Scholarship support becomes more critical each year, even with the availability of student loans. As part of the Alumni Annual Fund, contributions to the Opportunity Scholarship Fund are earmarked specifically for financial aid and need-based scholarships.

Program Support: Hamline Law's legal education is innovated through its specialized programming. The result is students gaining opportunities to enhance both their credentials and their education by working closely with leading scholars and practitioners, all while gaining real-world experience. Programs like the Business Law Institute (BLI), the nationally ranked Health Law Institute (HLI), and Dispute Resolution Institute (DRI) rely on private philanthropic support.  Similarly, Moot Court and Competitions, Law Review and Journal, and Legal Clinics  are made stronger through alumni contributions.
