Criminal attorney Eric Nelson of Halberg Defense will present “Getting to Know You, Getting to Know All About You: Voir Dire in a Criminal Case.” Eric will provide an overview of the purpose, rules, and case law pertaining to voir dire including permissible and objectionable lines of questioning, constitutional questions, and related topics.

Starting at Hamline: A Reading by Prize-Winning Poet Peter Meinke
St. Petersburg, Florida Poet Laureate Peter Meinke, began his career at Hamline in the 1960s and from there has gone on to garner national acclaim. Winning the 1986 Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction for The Piano Tuner, Meinke is passionate about the written word in any form, whether it is poetry, short stories, or his bi-weekly column published in St. Peterburg’s Creative Loafing.
